1. Overview
NoLife is an online social platform where users can join servers, send direct messages, share text and images, and communicate in real time. NoLife is not a registered company but operates under this name for the purpose of hosting and maintaining the Platform and its services.
Our goal is to provide a respectful, secure environment for conversation and community building without ads, third-party tracking, or data sharing.
2. Eligibility
By using NoLife, you confirm that:
- You are at least 13 years old or the minimum age required by your local law to use online social services.
- If you are under 18, you use the Platform only with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian.
- You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
We reserve the right to suspend or remove any account that appears to violate these requirements.
3. Accounts and Registration
To use most features, you must create an account. During registration, we collect a username, email address, and password. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and not sharing them with others.
You agree that:
- The information you provide is accurate and kept up to date.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account.
- You will immediately notify us at sde@nolife.uk if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
We reserve the right to deactivate or remove accounts that violate our Terms or pose a security risk.
4. Content and User Responsibility
You are fully responsible for the content you post, send, upload, or share on NoLife, including text, images, links, and attachments (“Content”).
You agree that:
- You will not post, share, or distribute illegal content of any kind.
- You will not post or distribute NSFW (Not Safe For Work) content in public servers or channels.
- NSFW content may only be shared in private messages, and only to recipients who you reasonably believe are 18 years or older.
- You will not engage in harassment, threats, impersonation, or spamming.
- You will not use NoLife to promote or facilitate harmful or criminal activity.
We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these rules or applicable laws, or that we believe undermines the safety and integrity of the Platform.
5. Moderation and Reports
NoLife moderation is designed to maintain community safety while protecting user privacy. We distinguish between server administrators (community members who manage their own servers) and NoLife staff/moderators (official platform moderators).
Server Administrators (Community Moderation)
- Each server can appoint its own admins and moderators.
- These community members can moderate messages, users, and attachments within their own servers, but cannot access private messages (DMs) between users.
- Server admins act independently and are responsible for the conduct within their communities.
NoLife Staff and Platform Moderation
NoLife staff handle DM reports, global rule enforcement, and system-wide safety issues.
Direct Messages (DMs) remain private by default. NoLife staff can only access a DM if it has been formally reported.
When a DM is reported, NoLife moderators may review:
- The reported message, and
- Up to two messages before and two messages after for context.
All moderation activity involving personal information (such as DMs, user data, or IP logs) is automatically logged and monitored. These logs record who accessed the data, when, and why, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Transparency and Appeals
Users who have had content removed or accounts suspended may request an appeal by emailing sde@nolife.uk.
Appeals are reviewed by a different member of the moderation team to ensure fairness and neutrality.
Misuse of moderation privileges — by either server admins or NoLife staff — may result in removal of access and, where applicable, account termination.
5.1 Server Liability and Prohibited Communities
Server administrators and creators are responsible for the content and activity within their communities.
If a server is found to be created primarily to host, promote, or distribute banned, illegal, or harmful content, NoLife staff reserve the right to:
- Remove the server and all associated content from the Platform.
- Suspend or terminate the accounts of involved administrators.
- Report the activity to appropriate authorities where required by law.
Members who joined such a server without participating in or knowing of the violation will not be penalized unless they contributed to the prohibited activity.
NoLife is not legally responsible for content hosted in user-created servers but will act promptly to remove material that violates UK law or the Platform’s global rules.
6. Data Storage and Retention
We collect and store user data only as necessary to provide the Platform’s core functions — such as authentication, messaging, and moderation. All messages, including DMs and server messages, are stored securely on our servers.
Data is retained for a maximum of one week after deletion, after which it is permanently removed from both live systems and daily backups. We aim to delete data as soon as technically possible — typically within the same day of a deletion request.
For more details about how we collect, use, and delete data, refer to our Privacy Policy at nolife.uk/privacy.
7. Intellectual Property and Copyright (DMCA)
You retain ownership of your content. However, by using NoLife, you grant us a limited license to host, display, and transmit your content as required to operate the Platform.
If you believe your copyrighted material has been used or shared on NoLife without authorization, you can contact us via:
- Email: sde@nolife.uk
- DMCA form: nolife.uk/dmca
We will review and process copyright complaints in accordance with applicable laws and remove infringing material as appropriate.
8. Platform Conduct
You agree not to misuse NoLife or interfere with the normal functioning of the Platform. Prohibited actions include, but are not limited to:
- Attempting to access private data, systems, or other users’ accounts without authorization.
- Using automated systems (bots, scrapers, etc.) to collect or transmit data.
- Reverse-engineering, decompiling, or attempting to modify the Platform’s software or APIs.
- Using NoLife to promote scams, phishing, or malicious activities.
Violations of this section may result in account suspension or legal action, depending on the severity of the offense.
9. Cookies and Tokens
NoLife uses cookies only for session tokens and authentication. We do not use cookies for tracking, advertising, or analytics purposes. By using the Platform, you consent to the use of essential cookies that keep you logged in and maintain session security.
10. Service Availability and Updates
NoLife is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We make no guarantees about uptime, performance, or availability. Maintenance, software updates, and security improvements may temporarily affect service access.
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue parts of the Platform at any time without prior notice.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account or access to NoLife without notice if:
- You violate these Terms or applicable laws.
- You misuse the Platform in a way that endangers others.
- We are required to do so by law or to protect the integrity of the service.
You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, your messages and personal data will be permanently erased as soon as possible (typically within the same day, no later than one week).
12. Transparency Reports
To promote openness, NoLife may publish periodic transparency reports containing aggregated data about:
- The number of content removals, server takedowns, and DM reports.
- The number of account suspensions or appeals processed.
These reports will never include personal or identifying user data.
13. Liability Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NoLife, its officers, agents, employees and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill or any amounts that exceed the fees paid by you to NoLife in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Where applicable law does not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for certain types of damages, our liability shall be limited to the fullest extent permitted by such law.
14. Indemnity
You shall defend, indemnify and hold harmless NoLife and its officers, directors, employees, agents and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:
- Your breach of these Terms;
- Your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party;
- Your Content or your use of the Platform.
15. Miscellaneous
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Waiver
Failure by NoLife to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
Assignment
NoLife may assign or transfer these Terms, in whole or in part, at any time. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent.
Notices
All notices to NoLife shall be sent to the contact methods listed in these Terms and shall be deemed received when acknowledged by us or when received if sent by certified mail or equivalent.
Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and NoLife regarding the subject matter hereof and supersede any prior agreements between you and NoLife relating to the same subject matter.
15. Changes to the Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time to reflect updates in our policies, laws, or platform functionality. When we make significant changes, we will post an updated version at nolife.uk/terms with a new “last updated” date. Continued use of NoLife after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed under the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes shall be resolved under the jurisdiction of UK courts, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer laws.
